And was thrown for a loop when I heard one of the CBI detectives ask a male person about his husbands death. Now don't get me wrong when I am amongst friends I hear the reference of husband all the time but to hear it on national television surprised me pleasantly I might add.

3. I noticed too. I am pleased by it but kind of sad that it stood out.

My kids think it is a nonissue and I hope my grandkids (when they get here) won't even understand why it was ever such a big deal.

But with kids like yours we are headed in the right direction. When I was younger I use to drive a van for the local Y.M.C.A. and on the side of the van it said "carrying our worlds most precious resource".

7. 'Husband' or 'wife' instead of 'partner' for married folks.

That is an important distinction which should be, as politely as possible, rammed down the couch potatos' throats.
