Since I have been gone... |
|
A lot has happened in the dbackjon household.
Shortly after the GGP of 2009, my boyfriend Alex moved in with me. Unfortunately, the house I was renting didn't allow pets, so his dog Scrappy couldn't move in with us.
In August of 2009, after playing in the Gay Softball World Series (our first ever) in Milwaukee, I took Alex up to Door County, and proposed to him. Lucky for me, he said yes :). We are still not married, as finances have not allowed us to have a wedding thousands of miles away. Iowa is the closest place - we are hoping Prop 8 gets overturned so we can marry close enough to home to allow at least some friends and family to attend.
In September of 2009, we moved into a house in South Scottsdale that allowed pets - Scrappy moved in with us :).
In August of 2010, we were able to buy the house, and are home-owners for the very first time.
So, in the span of time since the tombstoning, I have gone from living alone as a renter, to becoming a homeowner with my partner and our dog.
Great to see everyone back.

And congratulations on the many positive developments in your life.
Funny coincidence, but my team played in that World Series also. :hi:

Located in Atlanta. It was our first GSWS and we didn't fare too well, but the tournament was a lot of fun! And we couldn't have asked for better weather. :)
Which team do you play for?

12. That season, Bear Nation in C division |

I was an add on player - Alex was as well. I was there more as a backup, Alex started at third.
Most of the team became the Firebirds in 2010, we went to Columbus, finished tied for 17th. The Firebirds have moved up to B.
My team that I coach, the Grizzlies, are in D this year - 6-0 so far :)
