Report: Anglican Leader To Hold Historic Meeting With Gay Bishop

Gene Robinson, the openly gay bishop of New Hampshire and the man blamed for a widening division between conservatives and liberals, reportedly will meet with the leader of the worldwide Anglican faith next week in London.

The Guardian newspaper reports that plans for the meeting are underway, although no specific time has been set for the head-to-head with Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams.

Robinson is scheduled to be in Britain in November for an Oxford Union debate on the role of gays in the church.
