Premier Klein says Alberta will hold off until spring to bring legislate allowing clergy and marriage commissioners to refuse to perform same-sex marriages.

Alberta has been the lone Canadian province to oppose a federal law allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry.

Last year, while the federal government was considering legalizing same-sex marriage across the country Klein said that gay marriages "are morally wrong" (story)

1. Nobody ever intended clergy & judges who were against some

types of marriage to have to perform them. Nobody is forcing anything on anybody here.

I hope that has sunk in - in Alberta.
