Groups Say Golden Globes Presented H'wood's Hyped Version of Homosexuality
A prominent pro-family organization and a leading "ex-gay" ministry are highlighting the highly hyped and politicized atmosphere of Monday night's Golden Globes award ceremony, at which the pro-homosexual film Brokeback Mountain was a clear victor.

Winning four Golden Globe Awards, the film about homosexual sheepherders who hide their affair for decades held the spotlight for much of the evening, while other homosexual- and transgender-themed films also received accolades.

The Golden Globes honored Brokeback Mountain with the best drama, best director, best song and best screenplay awards. Meanwhile, Desperate Housewives co-star Felicity Huffman won best actress honors for her role as a pre-operative male-to-female transsexual in the gender-bending road trip movie Transamerica. And Philip Seymour Hoffman won best actor for his portrayal of homosexual writer Truman Capote, author of Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood, in the film Capote.

Concerned Women for America (CWA), the nation's largest public policy women's organization, is calling attention to the way these and several other winners at this year's Golden Globes are playing into a massive public relations campaign that is even now seeking to pave the way for the spread of liberal ideology, including the further mainstreaming and public acceptance of homosexuality. The pro-family organization contends that, except for the Johnny Cash bio-pic Walk the Line and the medical drama Grey's Anatomy, the evening's Golden Globe winners were all characterized by decidedly leftist viewpoints.

1. I miss the 1950s when decidedly right-wing viewpoints won big awards.
All those Bible movies and such...

Sorry, Concerned Wankers of America can go stuff itself - and focus on its own family. Maybe if they've got homosexual children they'd realize how wrong they are.

5. They'd either...
...disown them or force them into one of those "make you straight" groups, before ever admitting to how wrong they've been.

2. Hollywood won't be happy until everyone is gay!!!!
Clearly the people at Concerned Women for America have too much free time. Their response is blatantly homophobic - "the further mainstreaming and public acceptance of homosexuality" - Que horror!
I hate to be a divider and not a uniter, but I so wish we could have our own Progressive blue country and separate from these freaks.

9. Me too!
There was a fun map floating around DU, where, the Blue States succeeded from the ol' USA, and annexed to Canada, Jesusland being what was left.

Too funny.

4. CWA is wrong about "Walk the Line" and "Grey's Anatomy".
These two pieces also portray non-family (christian) values: co-habitation without marriage, adultery, children out of wedlock - to name a few. So, shut up you bitches!

6. Hype this, you dumb phucks!
Why weren't they screaming when Charlize Theron won for Monster? Was that promoting the "serial killer" lifestyle? No, they gave it to her because they thought she gave a great performance. Jesus, these people are so stupid.

7. There's nothing "pro-family" about organizations
which refuse to recognize that ALL of us are members of families. Send agape press an email asking them who appointed them to tell MY brothers, sisters, parents, nieces and nephews to exclude me from MY family because they don't like gay people?

If "leftist" means dealing with images of reality, then good. I'd rather be a leftist than a superstitious, hate-filled, fearmongering, insecure nutcase who can't urinate without thanking the "Lord."

11. I don't know why anyone allows them to get away with
calling them "pro-family" organizations - as a member of a family, they seem to want to do everything to ostracize me from my own relatives and treat us as lepers in our own families.

12. I'm so tired of all of these stupid hate organizations
wringing their hands over every little thing that doesn't fall into line with THEIR Agenda. Screw them! They need to go live in some fascist colony where they can control everyone and everything, and leave us to live in freedom.

13. Concerned Women for America
If these b*tches were TRULY concerned women, they wouldn't be standing idle while their religion destroys the very identity and rights of women.
