Senate To Vote On Homosexual Marriage Ban In Early March |
|
Here's a link to an American Family Association web page urging its "sheep" to contact their senators about the "homo-seck-shul marriage ban." http://www3.capwiz.com/afanet/issues/alert/?alertid=8457061&type=CONo reason why we can't take advantage of AFA's website to send our OWN messages to senators.

I have a friend who did that, and he is certain that they changed his message to one that they were advocating. They even had the cajones to email him back (when in this case they succeeded in cancelling "The Book of Daniel") thanking him for his support.
I wouldn't trust them with my email address.

Once again, John "Box Turtle love" Cornyn, santorum and the rest of that motley group of hatemongers get to pontificate about "slippery slopes" and other bullshit that's a pathetic attempt to disguise their hate for gay and lesbian folks.
Unless my two Senators, Durbin and Obama, unexpectedly have lobotomies before March, they'll vote against this stupid, hateful bullshit.
But I highly endorse using AFA to lobby Senators for us.

... how the Repugnantcans have controlled the White House, Congress and much of the judiciary and failed to pass a federal marriage amendment since the issue surface just before the 2004 election? Now here we are getting close to the 2006 mid-term elections and suddenly it surfaces again!
Quel ironique!
Any bets on when the fundies will wake up and realize they are being more manipulation than a masturbation addict's schlong?

4. Tell them to read the story of the seven husbands in their holy |

book. It might jar them a tad.

I've done that - used their setup to send the opposite of what they want me to send! It's fun!
On edit: Maybe the DUer who urged caution is right - I'll send my own emails.

... that things are going to be so f#cked up by November 2006 the fact that "Marriage Protection" is needed in the constitution of ol' USA will seem quite ridiculous to many voters. Perhaps I dream ~ perhaps I envision a nightmare. I do know that it is darkest before for the dawn.
I suggest a letter to your local editor campaign asking how much the AFA has spent helping Katrina victims vs what they have spent in propping up/lobbying/advertising their fear of homosexual/lesbian Americans?
