Any of my gay friends here been to Budapest???? |
|
I'll be swinging through on a weekend, and want to go out somewhere. Any suggestions? And has anyone been to either of the two gay guesthouses that I see advertised in Spartacus?
Thanks!

4. Thanks! This will be my second trip...was there about 3 years ago, but |
|
didn't hit any of the bars. This time I plan on it. I went in November, and it was so damn sunny! I heard the city has the most sunny days of any place in Europe!

Budapesh quite often, 2-3 times/year. And I admit it, every meal, all 3 every day, I would order stroganoff and spetzle. Brekkie, lunch and din-din. OMG I am sooo HUNGARY now! Heh. Gawd I love their strogie.
Anyhoo I did hit the bars but I couldn't tell ya if any were gay or not. I never noticed...if the music is good and there's space for dancing, I just dance with whomever happens to be in front of me, lol!
Pretty place, great people, but talk about sweet-tooth! Their desserts made my teeth hurt just looking at them. Good luck with the good-looking men! ;)

damn wish I could remember the name...Gerbeaud's...famous for their petite fours and OMG they are good but SWEET, oy! Kinda neat thing if you go there, they have a piano there, it was for the Titanic, bit the T sank before the piano was sent.
Have you tried that caramel thing they do, a torte with hard caramel topping? Nummy, but a forkful is more than enuf for me, lol!
I dunno about only your AE, Hungary has a lot of good-looking blokes, or did when I was there *leer*, they can't all be escorts. Altho that old adage comes to mind...ya gets what ya pays for. Heh. :D
Just stay safe and have fun! :)

You know what was also strange about Budapest--lots of Burger Kings, but no McDonalds'--very strange!
I did see the most gorgeous man ever in BK one afternoon--hate to admit I went there, but I go to that and McDonald's alot maiinly to gte a soda and sit for a bit!
Hope the guy wasn't a BK regular--he ain't gonna be the most gorgeous man I ever saw if he keeps up those eating habits!!!!

Notice too the tons of Pizza Huts? PH and BK. I admit I did BK fairly often.
I am SOOOO looking forward to moving up to Vancouver (Canada) in 2 weeks coz I'm hoping to see lotsa gorgeous men. There's nothing to gaze at here in this tiny Texas town, I tell ya.

I like tall, dark & (ruggedly) handsome with incredible bodies. Or nice bodies. Nice will do. Important they have a nice bum tho. Too many men have no bum, what's with that?!
We hetero womens wanna see a nice set of buns on your rearview, men! And I bet gay men feel the same way, n'cest pas?
Leave off the arm work at the gym, boys, and concentrate on the tushie a bit, thanks! ;)

chiseled body, it's a slight turn-off. Only slight, because if the guys in these pictures are missing bums entirely, I couldn't care less!!!
There's a website in the book--maybe I can post some of the pix here!

Breaks between packing would be more enjoyable with man-pix. :)
I certainly wouldn't discount a relationship with a man just coz he has a flat bum, I'd hope no one would be so into appearances to do any such thing! (unfortunately I know too often too many people do exactly that. :( ) Don't want any flat-tush men reading this to feel slighted.
Just sitting at a sidewalk cafe and 'sight-seeing', then yeah I wanna see a nicely rounded firm tushie, and he doesn't have to be any to-die-for Gorgeous God to score high marks with me if he has a lovely rearview. And a nice smile. And even the Most Beautiful Man walking by is gonna lose points if he's impersonating a pancake on his butt and a lemon slice in his mouth. :D

Yikes every time I think about it my tummy gets knotted...week after next and me & the kitt hop into the car and away we go! Long drive, and I am soooo nervous about the whole thing, but excited, too!
And scared. But happy.
I hear ya re the loose ends, I just hope I've managed to tie up most of mine, tho I'm sure about halfway thru California something I've forgotten to do will occur to me. :/

41. Nope, kitty's well-travelled. Not that he likes it. |
|
The last move we made was from Europe to Texas; landed in Alabama and drove to Texas. Kitty was good as gold the entire time, had a blast every night checking out the hotel rooms. During the day he just snoozed in his carrier (he has a very large uncat-size carrier so he can really stretch out) At lunchtime I'd stop at a roadside rest area and put his harness & leash on & we do a short walk about, then he'd do his litterbox thang, and back into the carrier to snooze.
I think tho he was so well-behaved more coz he'd flown alone to Alabama, and he was just so damn happy we were together again.
Dunno if this trip will go as smooth, but would be loverly if so. Otherwise I'll just have to get used to the yowling (he's a Himmy) until he loses his voice, lol!

But aside from that, Budapest is known as a sort of second-tier gay capital, from what I understand. First is like London and Paris. But you can have a lot of fun if you know where to go and where to look. I think the food is pretty good.
Enjoy!
