New Allegations Of Fraud In Mass. Anti-Gay Amendment

More people are coming forward to say that even though their names appeared on petitions calling for a a vote on a proposed constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage they never signed the papers.

The petitions were gathered by Vote On Marriage an umbrella group made up of the Catholic Church and evangelical groups. They were certified after the group submitted 120-thousand signatures almost double the number of voters needed.

But from the beginning there have been allegations of fraud. This week Northampton City Councilor At-Large James M. Dostal discovered his name was on one petition.

It was found in a listing of all names on the petitions that was posted on the Web site Know Thy Neighbor, operated by a gay couple who have been urging people to check the site to see if their names were added illegally to petitions.

These people use scare tactics, sketchy data, outright lies and the like in their agenda. Why not falsify their petitions?
