8. I was there during Brklyn Pride and had a blast! |

It's great to see things happening in Park Slope. I used to bartend at Carry Nation (now Gingers) and Excelsior.

I don't think I ever served a Scrimshaw and I had served many a Corona.

m2f transgendered, 'bout 5'6" medium build, black hair with bangs, glasses, perpetual cigarette, mostly played pool.
I'm pretty quiet and it's much easier for a customer to know a bartender than a bartender to know a customer.
I always ordered Corona until Ginger's started stocking Scrimshaw (which might have been after you left)

As hard as I tried to get to know every face and name (I bartended in the Slope for 8 years), sometimes the Rolodex between my ears can be quite full.

You were at Excelsior --but I always wander back and forth between the two. I generally spend more time in Ginger's though. If you know 'Topher than you know me.

4. Rubyfruit Bar and Grill |
|
in the Village. Best. Bar. Evah. Downstairs is the restaurant, upstairs is the bar. An older, academic crowd (I was in heaven). Live music, her name was Celeste and she played the piano and sang--pretty damn good. For a little younger atmosphere there's Henrietta's which is on Hudson St. (I think?). Really small but very nice.
