Anti-gay billboard changed and made fabulous
This just made me smile. While I don't tend to support vandalism, its just hard not to smile at this. Plus it looks like the stuff is just stuck on, no damage (the spraypaint on the left side was already there from days prior). This billboard is on interstate 64/40 in St. louis in between kingshighway and grand. (and no I had nothing to do with this :D )

The link to the indymedia article is http://www.stlimc.org/newswire/display/1327/index.php

Under the flap that's covered it did say "change is possible - www.exodus.to". With that being the case, what is under the defacement is so disgusting I think this could be considered a public service.

2. Well? When it's publicly displayed, the blatant lies, the hate, then
what's to prevent such provocation from being attacked w/ graffiti? It's an open invitation!

That is pretty much my take on it too. This was put up advertising the "love won out" conference. Spending the day outside of this conference protesting and having young people who had been dragged there by their parents coming out joining us some in tears saying how they just can't stand whats being said anymore really hasn't helped in getting any sympathy from me about this defacing.

I was trying to find a clean picture to show what the billboard looked like orginally but this is all I can find. This is the billboard on another interstate on St. Louis. It got a little messed up too.

5. Saw one with a smiling woman
on 170 in St. Louis today.

I've been visiting this area and have been overwhelmed by the racism and bigotry. God bless 'Murika, indeed.

6. Yeah
Thats the one with the white blond haired woman right? I hear that only the two within the city limits have a black man on the board, the ones in the county have a white woman on it. I find that veeeery interesting.

9. I can see this billboard everytime I leave...
...my house and get on 44. It's deeply insulting that they put that crap in my neighborhood. And in this particular case, yeah, I support vandalism. But of course, I had nothing to do with it.

12. I've driven past it a couple times
and couldn't quite make that part out. The sign is on a big curve in the highway so you don't get much time to read it. After staring at the picture for a while though I think it says "right wing scum, your time has come".
