Mass Judiciary Comm. to hear arguments on gay marriage 4/10/06- BE THERE!
Edited on Mon Apr-10-06 03:55 PM by IanDB1
Tomorrow, the Massachusetts Judiciary Committee will be hearing debate on gay marriage.

Please come if you can.

Bring signs if you'd like. Come testify before the committee if you want to.

In 2004, they came for the gays.

Now, it's 2006 and they're coming for the immigrants.

Some of those who cheered the placement of Republicans as "pro-family" are now looking at having their own families torn-apart by those they elected to "preserve marriage."

We can go there and try and win their hearts and minds, or we can rub their noses in how badly they've been suckered by the so called "family values" Republicans.

Take the high road, or take the low road-- But please come!

Please show-up and make yourself heard tomorrow, 9 AM or as early as possible, at The Mass. State House Room A1.

Tues., April 11, at 10am, the Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on the new discriminatory constitutional amendment to take away the rights of same-sex couples to marry.

If you can, please attend the hearing to show legislators that Massachusetts voters oppose amending the Constitution to take away marriage rights from same-sex couples. The hearing will be in Room A-1of the State House. Be sure to pick up your MassEquality stickers on the way in.

This hearing marks the first step in the upcoming legislative fight to defend marriage equality. Once the amendment is heard in committee, the legislature can consider the amendment at their Constitutional Convention scheduled for May 10th. Opponents of equality need only 50 votes to move the amendment process forward.
