Washington Gay Rights Repeal May Be Losing Momentum
http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/04/042706warts.htm

Gay rights groups aren't celebrating just yet but there are indications an attempt to repeal the state's LGBT civil rights law may be waning.

A conservative activist who is trying to get a repeal question on the November ballot says he has collected only a fraction of the signatures needed.

In an email Wednesday to supporters and the media Tim Eyman said he had collected only 8,718 signatures of the 112,440 needed by June 7 to get a referendum on the ballot.

Eyman in his email warned supporters that unless they step up the campaign the repeal effort will die.

:woohoo:

1. Good news
I posted about this last night in the WA forum too. His initiative drive is failing MISERABLY - by more than 100,000 signatures. :D

2. Great!
Eyeman is an ass. Oh, wait. He's a self-promoting, scum-sucking, deceitful ass. Or is that redundant?

4. Is it too early to organize victory parties?
We should get several going in Seattle, Vancouver, Tacoma, Olympia, Spokane, Ellensburg and elsewhere. Fundraisers, with half the proceeds going to local GLBT groups, and half going to a statewide civil rights group, planned for the Saturday after the deadline to submit signatures.
