Gay Episcopal bishop: God 'very happy' with gay activism
http://washingtonblade.com/thelatest/thelatest.cfm?blog_id=6506

Gay Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson encouraged attendants of a gay Republican convention to continue fighting for social and political equality.

"It's not a lot to ask," he said, "and it would make God very happy."

Robinson, who spoke April 28 at the Log Cabin Republicans National Convention in Washington, D.C., said the struggle for gay rights ultimately is a struggle for inclusion.

He challenged members of the nation's largest gay GOP group to seek fair and equal treatment in society, in politics and in church.

1. God Loves All People
So yes... I'd say the "Almighty" is very happy. However the Almighty is probably ashamed of the right wing who consistently drag His/Her name into the mud.

2. at my new church
At the new members meeting, the pastor described the open and affirming policy of the church. He was a little tentative at first expecting someone to be against, hands down everyone was pro-love, pro-human. Nice to see. The pastor was relieved and said, how difficult it would be to go against God and Christ and deny people the right to celebrate their love in their church. Where you see love, you see God. He put it much better, but it's nice to leave church with a smile instead of the antagonistic nature of many,.

we're an affirming Episcopal church and those who don't like are more than welcome to leave and find another church more to their liking
