Federal Marriage Amendment up for vote in early June

the date I've seen is June 6

I can't stress enough the importance of contacting your congress critters and letting them know how you feel

Don't email or call-take a few minutes and write a letter, postcard, etc

If these people get bags of mail against the amendment, maybe a light will click on in some of the dimmer recesses

3. this will get postponed until October

Bushco will want every possible distratction to hit before the election. Look for a flag burning amendment, intelligent design in schools, the War on Christmas, any damn thing. Hopefully some pretty blond girl will be missing and sharks will be attacking and American Idol and Survivor will be reaching their denouements.

5. Amendments happen--just like shit happens,

but this has got to be one of the shittiest amendments to date. Who gave Congress the right to tell others how to live their lives! Anyone who votes for it--be it Rep. or Dem. is just plain stupid and does not belong in Congress.

6. I say to the LGBT community throw down the

guantlet and ask the fundie christians how will they enforce this? Marriage Poilce? THE Junior Anti-sex league, tie this in to domestic spying and ask James Dobson why does he hate America?
