Update on my co-worker
As some of you recall, a co-worker of mine was attacked a few weeks ago.

He has been in a coma since. Over the weekend he woke up!! He is aware of what is going on. Which both of his arms broken, he can't sign (he's deaf). But he did recognize is best friend and mom.

This is a great sign for him.

The police believe that a former boyfriend of his was the one that attacked him. When Paul is up to it, they are going to try and see if Paul remembers if it was this guy or not.

Go PAUL!!

1. Glad to hear it Ronny.
I hope he makes a full recovery and that they catch the slimeball that did it.

3. YEA!!! What a great start to the new year. I hope it wasn't a former
boyfriend. That will be a black eye to the community. But, what people don't understand is that there are bad apples in every barrel. The wingnuts just like to throw stones @ glass houses where that is concerned.

4. wonderful news
I hadn't seen the original story about Paul--it's heartbreaking. To be in a coma for weeks, it must have been brutal... I can't begin to imagine his friends' and family's feelings, let alone his own suffering.
Now that I've heard about him, he'll be in my thoughts. I'm so glad he's recovering.

6. I'm so glad he's come out of the coma.
His brain has healed quite a bit, at least. They don't rush people out of them these days. He recognizes his loved ones. This is a good sign.

He's in my prayers to heal, both emotionally and physically. Hopefully, he can get some help in terms of making sure that he is not alone again, unless he is in a very safe environment.

I hope he finds a good support group for victims of violent attack and/or violent relationships.
