Video of the NY Marriage Rally in Sheridan Square

Some excellent speakers were there, including Rep. Jerry Nadler and Empire State Pride Agenda Executive Director Alan Van Capelle. You may remember Van Capelle as the author of the leaked "Hillary Memo," advising gay leaders not to support Sen. Clinton if she didn't seriously improve her support for GLBT rights. Everyone was pretty charged at the rally, and the general theme for many speakers was essentially, "leaders who don't support us in 2007 can knock on someone else's door in 2008." However, the overall message was one of renewed and redirected energy--toward the legislature, instead of the courts.

Living in Kansas I don't get these sort of things to go... Ever really... But it sounded like it was lovely!
