Anyone here seen Wordplay (the movie)?

It's a documentary about crossword puzzlers, but I thought it might be of interest to folks in this forum as well.

1. Yes, it's quite enjoyable

We had a fine time watching this movie. It's amazing how fast the experts can solve a puzzle, their dedication to their sport, and the camaraderie among them when they get together at the convention. You really get involved in it. I heartily recommend the film.

2. He's one of the judges for the tournament

he says about a sentence - a short one! in the judge's room, toward the end of the movie. And my mom puts up scores at one point, but she doesn't speak.

Dad's been composing and editing crosswords for as long as I can remember, so I know (as acquaintances) most of the people in the movie. Uh - not Clinton and Jon Stewart, but the regular ones. It's definitely not my scene at all, though. Can't tell you how much it's not my scene. :D

I did enjoy the movie, anyway.
