On CNN just now: Gay translators dismissed from Army. The article went o |
|
on to point out how desperately translators are needed. It was a very gay friendly article. I think we will be hearing more about this.

1. Do you mean "piece of video" instead of "article"? NT |

3. Lol - sorry - you are absolutely correct. I'm sure they will repeat it |
|
several times. I felt like it is an opening to getting the policy changed. It has to start somewhere, and beginning to inform people and change public opinon is a good first place.

And it makes no damn sense at all. Fluent in Arabic, English, and French. Canned for being gay some time back.

4. I saw the story, as well |
|
It highlighted how asinine US policy r/t Gays in the military is ... pointing out how people with desperately needed skills are discharged from the military for no reason except they are Gay.

5. Don't ask, don't tell - don't think so |
|
I was recently discharged from the Army due to the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. I was a medic, something they need a hell of a lot of, as well as translaters. Another buddy of mine was dicharged for the same thing, around the same time. I think the Army has forgotten that they are at war and need all the soldiers they can get!
