HRC fired employee who leaked Foley emails!
Is anyone else outraged by this? I think it's disgusting to fire someone for standing up to someone as vile as Foley.

"(Washington) The Human Rights Campaign has fired what it describes only as a "low level' worker after that person admitted being behind the release of sexual emails sent by former Congressman Mark Foley to former House pages.

An HRC spokesperson confirmed to 365Gay.com that the employee had been fired for "misusing" the organization's computer system. The worker's involvement became known earlier this week and he was let go the same day.

Copies of the emails sent by Foley were sent to several newspapers in the summer, but none of the papers, including the Miami Herald, picked up on them. After the emails were posted on stopsexpredators.blogspot.com ABC news began to probe into them."

I personally think he or she should have been promoted.

1. They may have been between a rock and a hard place
meaning they may have had some rules and regs against outing, perfectly sensible in ordinary times, and they may have been under extreme pressure from Congress.

I'm just guessing, but it's certainly the GOP way: blame somebody who can't fight back and ruin his career.

2. The reason they gave was
"misuse of organization's computers."

Icky, if you ask me.

5. The HRC has been increasingly moving rightward on many issues
I'm only vaguely surprised that they fired someone who blew the whistle on a Republican's predation.
