'Punked' by nature? The women I'm attracted to are lesbians

This really is like Nature's joke on me. I have been consistently attracted to lesbian women/girls. In high school, about the time my mother was getting nervous about my sexuality, she asked 'what kind of girl are you attracted to?' I said honestly that I thought Kristy McNichols was kind of hot. Liked Tatum O'Neil in Bad News Bears and Paper Moon (she's straight apparently but had the look in those parts).

My female cousin, we were both about 15, wore no make up, wore jeans, was another crush I remember having. And in college I dated a co-worker who later heard that I was bi (true in theory) and confronted me then told me she was bi.

Right into the present day: female athletes, women in suits, etc. Not sure what to make of it other than to view it with some sense of humor. I find many lesbians attractive but not enough to switch choirs for and heck, they aren't interested in me anyway.

Do you think this is common?

Painted faces and shaved everything just don't excite me. I like a woman who is a real person, not some caricature. I always figured if plucked eyebrows and painted lips were so good, men would have been doing it long ago. No, I don't like men. I just like real people not people in costume, except at Halloween. A dear friend of mine finds at least a 70% of the women he is attracted to are gay.

Don't sweat it. There's a girl out there that will blow your mind and then you'll have some kids and all this shit about what kind of girl you are attracted to won't mean anything because you'll be seeing her do her mom thing. or don't. There is nothing wrong with being attracted to lesbians. I'm a man and just about as gay as you can get. But I occassionally have sex with dykes. Why? Because those women are hot.

I suppose if I were straight I might be considered a "dyke daddy". Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. Who the hell cares either way?

So, Kurt, welcome to the real world. It's difficult, messy, strange and does not agree with our view of what should be.
