Same-sex marriage in Massachusetts CAN be stopped.

In this email update:

1. ARTICLE 8 / PARENTS’ RIGHTS COALITION FILES FOUR BILLS IN MASSACHUSETTS LEGISLATURE – on same-sex “marriage” and the homosexual agenda in the schools.

2. Fundraising progress – THANKS for your help so far!

NEWS ITEM: Arrogant school officials continue to display homosexual flag in Bedford middle school, despite complaints by parents. This shows how obsessed the education establishment is about pushing homosexuality to kids, how they will twist their arguments to support it, and their outrageous contempt for parents. This is why we have to go to the State House with our demands!

NEWS: ITEM: Country Club sues Atlanta after being fined for refusing to give “spouse” benefits to homosexual lover. Government out of control. The city of Atlanta is fining a private country club $500 per day for refusing to treat the “registered domestic partner” of a member as if it were his “wife.” But the club is fighting back in court.

NEWS ITEM: SpongeBob and Barney are the latest vehicles for homosexual activists to push their agenda on young children. Sponsored by FedEx, this slick video promoting homosexual “families” is based on the 1970’s song, “We are Family” and will be distributed to public and private elementary schools nationwide March 11, along with lesson plans for teachers. Also involved is the Disney Channel. Corporate America continues its campaign against traditional values.

=== 1. ARTICLE 8 / PARENTS’ RIGHTS COALITION FILES FOUR BILLS IN MASSACHUSETTS LEGISLATURE – on same-sex “marriage” and the homosexual agenda in the schools. ===

Article 8 Alliance / Parents’ Rights Coalition gets four important bills filed in the Mass. Legislature – to reverse the same-sex “marriage” ruling and stop the homosexual programs in the public schools.

We are serious about taking back our government, reversing the horrific same-sex “marriage” ruling, and stopping the radical homosexual agenda in the schools. And more and more Massachusetts legislators are agreeing with us. We’ve listed below the sponsors and co-sponsors of the bills. But in addition, MANY MORE legislators said they’ve had enough, and will vote with us when these bills get to the floor! The 2005-2006 legislative session began this week, and we’re ready. . .

A. The Bill of Address

The cornerstone of taking back our government is removing activist judges who illegally and fraudulently twist the law to impose their own social and political agendas on the people. Our Constitution, written by John Adams, was specifically designed with the “bill of address” to protect the people. We must use it. So it's been re-filed.

Enacting the Bill of Address for this fraudulent ruling will be the official declaration that the ruling was unconstitutional and is null and void, and will keep a future court from repeating that ruling.

Docket # 538. Sponsor: Rep. Emile Goguen. Co-sponsors: Rep. Edward Connolly, Rep. David Nangle, Rep. Marie Parente, Rep. Philip Travis.

Resolved, That both houses of the legislature hereby request the governor by way of address, under the provisions of Article I Chapter III of Part the Second of the Constitution, to remove Margaret H. Marshall, Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court, from her office, to remove Roderick L. Ireland, Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court, from his office, to remove John M. Greaney, Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court, from his office, and to remove Judith A. Cowin, Associate Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court, from her office.

B. Officially, in statute, defining marriage as one man and one woman.

As the Bill of Address recognizes that the SJC court decision was illegal, null and void, this law proceeds from there and clarifies once and for all what's been obvious for all of history (note that “civil unions” are also disallowed):

Docket # 539. Sponsor: Rep. Emile Goguen. Co-sponsor: Rep. Philip Travis.

AN ACT TO DEFINE MARRIAGE AS THE UNION OF ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

It being the public policy of this Commonwealth to protect the unique relationship of marriage in order to promote, among other goals, the stability and welfare of society and the best interests of children, only the union of one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in Massachusetts. Any other relationship shall not be recognized as a marriage or its legal equivalent, nor shall it receive the benefits or incidents exclusive to marriage from the Commonwealth, its agencies, departments, authorities, commissions, offices, officials and political subdivisions.

C. Officially nullifying same-sex "marriages".

Gov. Romney began authorizing same-sex marriages last May 17, even though no law was ever changed to allow that. Even the House of Representatives Legal Counsel, whom we consulted, agreed with that assessment. Thus, the following bill has been introduced :

Docket # 540. Sponsor: Rep. Emile Goguen.

AN ACT TO CLARIFY THE STATUS OF SAME-SEX MARRIAGES PERFORMED UNDER PUBLIC AUTHORITY IN MASSACHUSETTS SINCE MAY 17, 2004.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

It is hereby declared that all same-sex marriages performed under public authority in Massachusetts since May 17, 2004 are without statutory basis; and no marriage performed in Massachusetts will be considered legally binding which is not established by Massachusetts statute, not withstanding licensing through the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, or city or town clerk.

D. Re-filing the strengthened Parental Notification Law

This updates the flawed law passed in 1996. The gay lobby and Planned Parenthood know that this will stop the homosexual agenda in the public schools by giving parents the power, and not the gay activists. Parents would no longer have to struggle to “opt-out” their kids (if they can) but choose to “opt-in”. Last year the homosexual lobby fought this bitterly. This year we'll win!

Docket # 1168. Sponsor: Rep. Joyce Spiliotis. Co-sponsors: Sen. Robert Hedlund, Sen. Richard Moore, Rep. Bruce Ayers, Rep. Vinny deMacedo, Rep. Brian Golden, Rep. Emile Goguen, Rep. Shirley Gomes, Rep. Robert Hargraves, Rep. Paul Kujawski, Rep. James Miceli, Rep. Shirley Owens-Hicks, Rep. Marie Parente, Rep. Jeffrey Perry, Rep. Philip Travis, Rep. Daniel Webster.

AN ACT RELATIVE TO PARENTAL NOTIFICATION AND CONSENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 71, Section 32A of the General Laws is hereby amended to be the following: -

Section 32A. Every city, town, regional school district or vocational school district implementing or maintaining curriculum or portion thereof, or school sanctioned program or activity, which primarily involves human sexual education, human sexuality issues, or sexual orientation issues shall adopt a written policy ensuring parental/guardian notification.

All such curriculum, programs, and activities shall be offered only in clearly identified non-mandatory elective courses in which parents or guardians may choose to enroll their children through written notification to the school, in a manner reasonably similar to other elective courses offered by the school district.

To the extent practicable, instruction materials and related items for said curriculum, programs, and activities shall be made reasonably accessible to parents, guardians, educators, school administrators, and others for inspection and review.

No public school teacher or administrator shall be required to participate in any such curriculum, programs, or activities that violate his or her religious beliefs.

These are the tools we'll need to take back our government. We've got a LOT more support in the Legislature than before, and it's growing. It's up to us to roll up our sleeves and get it done.

=== 3. Fundraising progress ... ===

We’ve extended our one-month goal by three days, to end at midnight next Friday, Jan. 15 – to raise $20,000 by that date – to help citizens take their fight right to the State House and beyond!

As of today, we’ve raised $11,060.00 !

Let’s meet the goal and start out this year strong!

(As we’ve reported, right now the homosexual groups are raising tons of money to push their agenda even further this year -- in the schools, and particularly in the legislature. For example, the "Massachusetts Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus" has just announced that they've received a "$100,000 challenge pledge" from a wealthy donor to the homosexual movement, to get matching donations. WE CAN STOP THEM and take back our government – with YOUR help!)

Donations can also be mailed to: Article 8 Alliance, PO Box 1612, Waltham, MA 02454

AS WE’VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG – IT’S UP TO THE PEOPLE NOW! THIS CAN AND WILL BE WON.

But your help is still needed. We can't do this without YOUR support.

Contact us if you want to get involved.

4. What is a "hate group"?

Hate groups are groups which are opposed to certain types of people just because of their race, ethnicity, religion or sexual preference. For instance, the Ku Klux Klan, which is anti-black and anti-Semitic, is a hate group. The Nation of Islam, which is very anti-Semitic, is also a hate group. The most common targets of hate groups in the United States consist of African-Americans, Jews, homosexuals, Hispanics, and to a lesser extent, other recent immigrant groups and Catholics.

The creator of the Militia Watchdog website is Mark Pitcavage. Mark Pitcavage is a historian who has specialized in the history of right-wing extremism in contemporary America. He is the Director of Fact Finding for the Anti-Defamation League.

3. I assume they're talking about the ep in which SpongeBob and
Patrick raise a baby clam as their own. Their outrage over that is so ridiculous that I can't even frame a serious response.

The scary thing is how serious, well-organized, and full of hate these people are. Can you imagine how much good they could have accomplished if they'd used their energies to help people instead of drum up hatred? It boggles the mind.

Disclaimer: I'm not gay, but I watch SpongeBob with my kids. I'm sure we'll all turn any day now! :)

Gay Media: Falwell is Right on 'Teletubbies'
12 February, 1999
By Lawrence Morahan
CNS Staff Writer

(CNS) – The Rev. Jerry Falwell, who has been ridiculed by some in the establishment press for saying one of the "Teletubbies" is meant to depict a homosexual toddler, appears to have found some unlikely corroborators among the gay media.

Falwell caught his share of flack for suggesting that Tinky Winky, the purple Teletubby who carries a purse and has a triangle protruding from his head, is homosexual.

In telling his supporters about his concerns regarding the Teletubbies, Falwell warned that Tinky Winky promoted homosexual messages, making note of the triangle – a common gay-pride symbol – and the purse the character carries.

However, in a number of media outlets, there is no doubt about the "gayness" of Tinky Winky, one of four fuzzy Teletubbies in a TV show for toddlers. "Tinky Winky is the unofficial gay Teletubby, in the opinion of myself and many others," reads the Gay Teletubby page on the Internet web site LesBiGay, Etc, a web site that calls itself "the place for youth-friendly gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and straight sexual orientation information and resources."

Tinky Winky's status as a gay television character designed to appeal to children is demonstrated by "the purple triangle on his head, the effeminate mannerisms, the "bag... "" reads the LesBiGay site, which described the program as one that's "aimed at people to (sic) young to tie their shoelaces.""

Parents Beware: 'Shrek 2' Features Transgenderism And Crossdressing Themes

Summary: The DreamWorks' animated film, "Shrek 2," is billed as harmless entertainment but contains subtle sexual messages.

Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see "Shrek 2," may wish to consider the following: The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male. His voice is that of talk show host Larry King.

During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.

In another scene in the movie, Shrek and Donkey need to be rescued from a dungeon where they are chained against the wall. The rescue is conducted by Pinocchio who is asked to lie so his nose will grow long enough for one of the smaller cartoon characters to use it as a bridge to reach Shrek and Donkey. Donkey encourages him to lie about something and suggests he lie about wearing women's underwear. When he denies wearing women's underwear, his nose begins to grow.

An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion.

TVC's report, "A Gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream," explains the transgender agenda and the effort to deconstruct the biological reality of male and female. DreamWorks is helping in this effort by promoting cross dressing and transgenderism in this animated film.

12. Shit! These whack-jobs are in the towns next to me.
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 04:46 PM by notmyprez
The "group" (probably one or two people) is based in Waltham, and that other guy is in Newton. Man, they're right next door! I like to think of this as a safe, open-minded, tolerant, progressive area. This is quite upsetting.

Edited to add: I just googled that Rep. Marie Parente because her name sounded familiar to me. I still don't know why it sounds familiar, but I did find out that she is a member of Mass. Citizens for Life. And if I'm remembering the town correctly, she is Matcom's state rep! (I'll have to remember to ask him about her.)
