Woman-beating gay-basher Cirignano may face civil rights charges
BayWindows.com has just released this photo of Mrs. Sarah Loy immediately after the incident where the Head of the Catholic Citizenship Group "escorted" her to the ground, her head hitting the concrete sidewalk.

In an attempt at damage control the radical right is spinning this as a staged incident, but that begs the question; how would gay rights people know Mr. Cirignano would act this way? Are we to believe that the many eye-witnesses, including a Reverend, an EMT, and a reporter sent to cover the story from a non-biased newspaper are all involved in some sort of conspiracy?

" Worcester Police Chief Gary Gemme told Bay Windows that a decision on whether to seek charges accusing Cirignano of civil rights violations would likely be made by Dec. 22." Read the full story from BayWindows.com.

1. religious extremism is full of latent violence.
america is in denial about it's violent character as it is -- but against minorities -- violence and leniency towards becomes a public sport.

this assault is an example.

this was not just a violent assault -- this assault was religion on the attack. this isn't different than the sectarian violence in other countries -- except of course that we will call it other wise.

2. A staged event? Bwa--ha-ha-ha-ha
Do the wingnuts honestly believe that their constant middle-school playground-level bullying rhetoric never translates into violence? Puh-leeze. . .this is exactly the kind of behavior these people engage in on a daily basis.

Frankly, I think con-servatives get a sexual hard-on at the very fantasy of violence.

5. That's exactly why they're so quick to accuse others of it.
They do it on a daily basis. Therefore everyone MUST be doing it... if everyone wasn't doing it, they might have to admit to themselves that they're the bad guys.

3. Hit him where it hurts...right in his wallet!
Put the SOB outta business. It's the only thing they understand. Not that some time in the slammer for him wouldn't be nice.

4. Of course
When they bash a woman's head on the concrete it's a "staged event". When alleged liberal protestors tap fundies' cars with limp plastic pipe it's a horrific travesty. They sure know how to spin crap. :eyes:
