SF Gay Group Fights Handgun Ban

The San Francisco Pink Pistols, a gay and lesbian gun-rights group, has joined other pro-gun groups in opposing the initiative.

The group, the Bay Area chapter of the national Pink Pistols group, said it is organizing a letter-writing campaign to the Board of Supervisors.

"Outlawing handguns would raise crime," he said. "A handgun is a very useful defensive tool," said SF Pink Pistols spokesperson Tom Boyer.
