As Canada's Prime Minister Paul Martin and Opposition leader Stephen Harper verbally spar over same-sex marriage, the country's two biggest denominations have come out swinging with one opposing gay marriage and the other endorsing it.

A letter by the Roman Catholic primate of Canada denouncing same-sex marriage was read Sunday in parish churches across the country.

"At the risk of being judged politically incorrect, we need to recall that the bill under discussion is offensive to the moral and religious sensibility of a great number of citizens, both Catholic and non-Catholic," Marc Cardinal Ouellet writes in the letter.

and FUCK those citizens and their precious sensibilities. The catholic church needs to recall that the moral sensibilities of catholics are not the standard of morality for everyone else. For instance, covering up pederasty is not a moral value. Supporting the holocaust (before they realized that catholic priests were also being rounded up) is not a moral value. Telling people who are not catholic to live by a 2000 year old code of catholic morality that includes when to fuck and how to fuck, IS NOT A MORAL VALUE.

No wonder the catholic church is dying out in the civilized world - and good riddance.
