Lawyer: Ban on gay sex is still on books (Kansas)

Finney County Attorney John Wheeler Jr. recently informed an audience of Garden City Community College students that homosexual sexual relations in Kansas are a crime.

Arguing such a case in court, however, would prove futile, according to the Kansas attorney general's office.

College student Kristie Stremel, 33, who is openly lesbian, said she "never experienced that sort of talk in a public forum like that, really criminalizing a certain group."

If the Repigs get another of their own on the Court, they'll try to overturn Lawence v. Texas.

They would very likely start enforcing this law to create a test case.
