Now I know this will shock you

but Adam Ruggiero, the guy who played Marco on Degrassi, is gay.

He came out in late January. I know this is a shock. Come sit a spell so you don't faint.

Seriously, good for him to be open plus the show was good for gays too.

4. That interview really made me think
It really must have been quite difficult to be in his position I am glad he came out and also that he didn't go the route of so many teen stars.

5. it's very difficult -- it's about their way of making a living.
forget about the public -- think about casting agents -- they have to decide not to pigeon hole -- or any one in his position -- for work.
it's very courageous to come out.

6. alot to have on his shoulders at such a young age
I honestly get nervous at work from time to time and there it is only maybe a thousand people total. He is out to literally millions. Good for him though.
