Can we please have clarification |
|
of what threads do and don't belong outside of GDP? We have several campaign threads that have been alterted upon and complained about with no result.

2. The problem (probably) when viewing a posting in one thread and then hitting the "Post" button |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 07:15 PM by thunder rising
the posting is defaulted to the thread being displayed. Like I'm reading this and saw a newspaper article (using a different tab or window) and pushed the "Post" button the posting will go to this thread. No malicious intent at all.

4. sorry but that just isn't true |

Yes, I know it can happen but these have all been threads about gay issues involved in the campaign and one was cross posted.

7. I see you must have tried it then? LBGT is not always a victim. |

10. You are not making sense. It is GLBT, not "LBGT." Are you gay? |
|
bi? lesbian? transgendered?, or heterosexual? Your answer may help us to understand your posts in this thread.

12. Not Always the Victim. |
|
The people who say that are usually the people claiming the woman brought it on herself by the way she dressed, or the flamboyant queen was practically begging for a beating.

9. You mean we can alert on all this stuff for belonging to GDP? |
|
Thanks for the info. I'll certainly be sure to use that option.

11. Thank you! And what is odd is how many are hostile to GLBT issues. |
|
I don't understand what caused so many to enter this GLBT forum just to disparage us. I do laugh sometimes when they do this as they seem to think they are being subtle. ;)

The prohibition for Democratic primary threads applies to General Discussion only: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4158434The rest of the board is open to forum/group appropriate Democratic primary discussions. :hi:

14. The difference is between GD and GD-P |
|
If a primary-related topic comes up which is related to another forum, such as this one, then it is okay to post here. Now, if you feel a thread isn't appropriate based on topic or tone, then please hit alert and let us know.

15. I think it makes sense to have them here, but I'm dismayed by obvious campaigning that goes with it. |
|
And from non-GLBTers. I'm really tired of being asked why I don't support one candidate over another, when there's already everything anyone needs to know on several threads in the first page of this forum.
But, we should be able to find out here (where it doesn't disappear into thread hell in GDP or GD) about political issues that affect us as GLBTers. That's the best thing about this forum.

16. force all candidate discussion to GD-P |

and lose particpation on people like me. Gays are immediately shouted down , and marginalized ,and insulted in the primarily strate other forums. I know what they will say,and I for one am sick of strate people telling me what's what, and if we want to win , Gays can just STFU, and get the fuck to the back of the bus. It's bad enough they come here to insult us and tell us what out preceptions SHOULD be.
