But I'm 20 years old, never dated beyond one date(Which was awful, he wasn't very intelligent, sweet, but not smart), never been in love.
But this is the thread for people who can't wait to get married.

6. I didn't fall in love until I turned 37, seriously. I mean, |
|
I had been in lust and also felt one-sided love for certain other people, but it wasn't until I met one guy where we enjoyed a relationship that just sort of worked for both of us, that I knew what all those songs about love were actually about, on an emotional level. I'll happen, just enjoy life for what it is - you're just a baby.

9. I'm 26 and still unattached. |
|
I haven't ever had a real relationship and aside from the whole "omg I'm alone" issue I'm quite happy.

10. I was 32 when I got hooked |
|
had 1 long term before that, 7 yrs or so. Now after 31 years, I'm getting a gold ring. Enjoy those single years, play safe. As I read in a liquor store in the Village " An ill spent youth is a joy forever, buy a quart"

But am decidedly unconcerned with marriage. I intend to have a ton of kids, both the "traditional" way and through adoption, and maybe a partner or two, but probably won't get married unless it's financially necessary. Huzzah non-traditional family units!

12. You know whats a good way to meet guys? |
|
Work on a campaign... Most of the people in bars and gay.com etc. are looking for hook ups (you can meet nice people in those places, too) but since you're on DU, I'm assuming politics is very important to you and you'd meet someone with common interests and you'll find many, many gay people who are actively working to improve our lot.
I'm sure Obama has/will have a campaign office in your area.. even if you don't find the man of your dreams, you'd still be working toward change -- that we can believe in, no less.

13. I met my partner at 20, and 12 years later... |
|
we're still waiting to get married. It won't be legal in Georgia for a very long time.
You're 20, kiddo, go out and kick up your heels a bit. You'll be thankful that you 'got it out of your system' later on.

14. Heck, I didn't even realize I was a lesbian until I was 45! |
|
I decided that I just had to get married and have kids and the house and the whole nine yards when I was kid, so I totally stuffed the knowledge of my feelings for women (and fear of men) and set out to find a nice husband, which I did, got married at the age of 24, decades later finally woke up and realized that I'd been living in a dark box all my life until then.
I recommend taking your time.
