Cyndi Lauper True Colors Tour!
This past Saturday, June 21st I had the GREAT pleasure to go see this amazing show in Houston, TX. It was the greatest show I've seen in my life! Cyndi, besides being a great talent, and show-woman is so passionate about our issues and equality.

Wanda Sykes was hilarious! Carson Kressley was a great host (he even took a HUGE guld out of my margarita). Andy Bell, even without the rest of Erasure sang amazingly, Joan Jett put on a great show as well (although her eyes got huge, and for a second there I thought she was going to dart offstage when a huge dragonfly flew at her), and damn that woman is in amazing shape for her age, you could grate cheese on her rock solid abs! The B-52's also put on a great show.. hell the whole thing (over 4 hours!) was just one super performance after another! I can easily write this show as one of the greatest times in my life, and it helps out the HRC so it's a great time AND cause!

1. True Colors in Chicago
was just as awesome. I had a riot. Rosie O'Donnell was very funny. The B-52's had me jumping up and down like I was 20 again. We didn't have Joan Jett or Andy Bell :( but the whole show was a lot of fun. Great performances. Cyndi was excellent

Also, I went with three friends. All of us have very different musical tastes and there are significant age differences between us. Everyone of us had a really fun time. All of us would go again in a heart beat.

2. I had a great time there also!
I went with a couple of friends. I didn't see the first couple of acts. We got in while that lesbian duo (I'm sorry, I don't remember their names. :-() were performing.

This was the 2nd year I've been to the True Colors show here. I hope our community's very good friend, Cyndi Lauper, keeps doing them.

4. Glad you got to go see it and had so much fun.
I was going to try to go the Dallas show but forgot to check the tour dates till last week, and of course, that was too late. I have been listening to her new CD this week though, and it is very good as I am sure you would agree. I would have loved to have seen every one of the groups you mentioned. Did Tegan and Sara perform?

5. We caught this last year at the Greek Theater here in L.A.
We had a great evening and it was just a joy.

Don't think we'll take it in this year though.

8. I saw it in DC....
GREAT show! Cyndi, B-52's- how can you go wrong?

I had not heard Tegan and Sara, or Regina Spektor but they were great, too!
