Does extra concern for your looks make you vain ?
I guess ,it should , maybe . I am not keen on self flagellating. But I feel I missed so much on my feminine side all those years , it is not particularly terrible to become concerned with my looks , I don't think that's vain.

My problem is my self image and confidence , sometime I feel like an ugly freak , in another mood I find my face convincingly feminine , always has been.

I know the ideal is that looks are not important , its the beauty of your soul and brain that counts.

sometimes I feel ugly at all levels.

Took , an ambien , s9o not there If I'll be able to reply tonight

9. Ye gods, the cultural illiteracy of some people
I'm assuming you are asking an honest question and not being sarcastic. :hi:

You're So Vain
Carly Simon

You walked into the party
Like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror
As you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

You had me several years ago
When I was still quite naive
Well, you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved
And one of them was me
I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga
And your horse naturally won
Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun
Well, you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not, you're with
Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you? Don't you?

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you

You're so vain (so vain)
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you? Don't you?

3. When you walk past that mirror in the hall...
think...

"Could I look any better, at all?"

Get comfortable with it.

I trimmed my beard tonight and I have a manicure app't tomorrow morning.

And I am as Straight as an Arrow.

You are only as beautiful as you feel.

Tom

11. Everyone wants to be beautiful, for a lot of reasons.
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 10:22 AM by closeupready
A big one is that being beautiful generally makes your life easier and more fun than it would be than if you were NOT beautiful.

And thus, if there's something wrong with wanting a better life (with beauty as one means to get it), then we should all quit our jobs and stop working, because working also would be "wrong" using that line of reasoning.

What I'm saying is, no, wanting to be beautiful and working on it is not wrong, it's what everybody wants. It's healthy, IMO. I've long believed that just about anybody can be beautiful. It just requires some work and thought, like a lot of things.
