I thought this was pretty cool. :-)

Cumming Changing Citizenship to Vote for Obama

Barack Obama supporter and openly gay actor Alan Cumming is hoping he can become a U.S. citizen in time to register to vote in the upcoming presidential election, reports New York Magazine's Intelligencer blog.

The Scottish actor told reporters he is taking the U.S. citizenship test in October because he thinks Obama needs every vote he can get.

"I’ve got the questions and the answers," he told the crowd at the Google and Vanity Fair part at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. "Now all I’ve got to do is memorize them. It’s just like learning a lot of lines, so I kind of think that as an actor, I’ll be better prepared than most."

Cumming was also in attendance for Obama's acceptance speech at Mile High Stadium.

"Tonight was the first night I've ever waved an American flag," he said after the speech. "It was great." (Michelle Garcia, The Advocate)

1. Pretty confident of him -- as opposed to hanging on to his passport to get the hell out, if ...
...they steal yet another one...

3. He'll still be a British citizen
It's only the US that doesn't recognize dual citizenship in most cases.
