Prop 8: Exit poll by gender, race, age, income and education.

I'd prefer to wait for the breakdown by actual votes cast but for the sake of discussion, this poll will do for now.

3. This is definitely true.
When this 50-year-old PFLAGer (www.pflag.org) was at the No-On-8 rallies, there were literally HUNDREDS of young people there with me. They will be voting very soon. We can change things for the better! We're fighting on!

5. I'm thinking scorched earth. Take a look at how entrenched the bigotry is across all categories.
I'm not feeling particular patient or generous.

I think this travesty deserves an ongoing resistance movement that complicates the daily lives of heterosexuals everywhere. It is time.

8. I'm afraid there are only two just routes to take that would fix it justly.
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 01:54 PM by YOY
One. To take this to the highest court possible.

Two. To heed that the younger generations are more accepting and that this will change. This will change in far sooner than 20 years. Justice would dictate that it needs to change tomorrow but we must wait if this has to be a "decision of the people." I don't believe that it is that though so perhaps the legal route needs to be the path.

And please don't hate on us heterosexuals. Some of us have been pushing for you for years. My straight white accepting married-with-one-child irreligious ass doesn't need to be lumped in with Sarah Palin and the fundie lot.

10. As a heterosexual ally, I'm going to ask you to suffer the annoyances of gay direct action.
I'm sorry about that. I am forever grateful for your support but LGBT people have now been cornered. It's time to bring on a serious fight.

Also, it's not your heterosexual self that I'm hatin' on. Please don't take it personally.

16. I think it's time to play their game against them.
You want to protect the sanctity of marriage? Fine.

Let's outlaw divorce. We're only trying to 'protect marriage' right?

Young voters overwhelmingly NO.
First-time voters overwhelmingly NO.

This won't stand for too long.

6. Hmm? No question on "Delusional religious beliefs that have me vote
to destroy the rights of my fellow citizens?" I'm surprised!

Why no question on "What's more important to you? Your religious beliefs or the tenets of the Constitution?"

7. didn't you hear? bashing religion is bigotry. they were born with
those ignorant religious views and can't help it so it is bigotry to criticize them. :sarcasm:

9. Religious "views" are opinions, not facts. No one is born with a religious view.
Religious views are learned...indoctrinated. One can later choose a different religious view, and many do.

People are born male/female, black/white, gay/straight.

I appreciate your sarcasm, though. It gave me a chance to vent some more!
