I am so deeply disappointed by what occurred in this country with all the gay rights initiatives. I cannot even begin to imagine how you all must be feeling.

I have, over the past month or so, had an inner struggle over what I know is right, and the status quo, and whether to stand up for what is right. Thankfully I have the support of my husband (who has been even more active than I in this fight - which was a huge and pleasant surprise to me). My resolve to continue to fight for what is right has been strengthened considerably over this past month.

I want to thank you for helping me educate myself, and for helping me to become a more compassionate and better person.

I am a straight woman who feels REALLY REALLY strongly about gay rights. These are the rights of people I love. People I went to high school with 30 years ago. My friend's marriage got broken up by these pricks and I am furious.

12. once you take up our cause, like you have, and experience the

repercussions and backlash, you see what we are up against even from people who are supposed to be our allies. we get it from all sides. it's eye opening. we get shit from our fellow gays who want us to shut up and assimilate and not make waves because then maybe they will like us. There are many straight folk like you that are more outspoken for our cause than some of the gay folk. :shrug:
