I found this and was hoping maybe we can get the word out and get this some traction.

California Proposition 8 Leader
Coming to Chicago
After months of organizing against the impending visit of Focus on the Family's James Dobson to Chicago to receive an award from the Museum of Broadcast Communications, Tuesday's election gave gay rights supporters a huge additional reason to oppose his visit. The protest will be at 5:30 PM, Saturday, November 8 outside of the Renaissance Chicago Hotel, 1 W. Wacker Drive (corner of Wacker & State).
Dobson was a leading proponent of California's Proposition 8, the anti-gay referendum which, if implemented, will take equal marriage rights away from lesbian and gay people. A group spun off from his focus on the Family led the anti-equal rights campaign, and Focus on the Family itself gave $800,000 to bankroll the effort.
"In California we saw the very direct effect that anti-gay hate can have on the life choices available, or unavailable, to the gay community," said Wayne Besen, Executive Director of Truth Wins Out. "Dobson put his media empire and $150 million annual budget at the service of defeating equal rights by passing California's Proposition 8, removing equal marriage rights for same-sex couples."
"If Dobson had helped organize and fund a campaign to take away African American voting rights, he would be properly shunned as a hater,'" said Bob Schwartz of the Gay Liberation Network. "However, because the Museum of Broadcast Communications has chosen instead to honor Dobson, they apparently think it's okay to promote those who publicly organize discrimination against gays."
It is ironic that the Museum will be honoring a promoter of hate like Dobson, while at the same time many mourn the recent passing of journalistic legend Studs Turkel, whom the Museum never got around to honoring.
The campaign against the honoring of Dobson was initiated by the Gay Liberation Network (www.GayLiberation.net) and Truth Wins Out (www.TruthWinsOut.com and www.DumpDobson.com), and endorsed by dozens of groups and individuals signing on to a series of full page protest signature advertisements.
