Deep breath. So what now?
I'll attend protests as long as they still have them, but they're not sufficient to defeat or repeal Prop 8. I am wondering where to direct my time and resources now. Donate to Lamda Legal Defense as they challenge Prop 8? What do you suggest?

Marriage Equality and the campaign http://www.noonprop8.com have another set in preparation.

2. Okay. Checkbook opened for them.

3. See my sig line - Lambda Legal is leading the fight ...
and you can go to www.invalidateprop8.com. I'm a straight supporter of the GLBT community; I am on the same team - the team seeking equality for all.

I agree with you - we have to raise money for the legal team for the following reasons: (1) they will be the ones that are most effective in seeing that all of the votes are counted in a fair way; (2) they will fight the critical battle to get Prop. 8 invalidated (struck); and, (3) if needed, they will guide us in repealing Prop. 8.

I also think that people need to stop asking 'pretty please' for their civil rights. I agree with the constant marches in which my GLBT brothers and sisters announce loudly that they will NOT accept separate-but-equal. They will no longer return to the 'back of the bus.'

In Solidarity,

5. I sometimes wonder
what good marches do.

But protests don't mean anything at all if no one shows up. So show up I will.

6. what about demanding that the votes be recounted in a few of these suspect counties?
Like in Southern California? There are numerous posts here about voter fraud. Why not start with a careful look at the votes. I do not believe that they actually won.
