and I agree with you that there is an overwhelming sense that people in general just don't give a damn...I mean, unless it affects them directly, who gives a rat's ass. That is precisely the attitude which allowed Prop 8 to pass. I've been encountering the same apathy in trying to generate interest and volunteers for Saturday's National Day of Protest Against Prop 8.

I'm guessing the best place to send your donation would be to one of the groups actively involved in fighting (via lawsuits) Prop 8. I've opted to donate my money to both the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) or Lambda Legal - both groups were involved in the lawsuits which successfully convinced the CA Supreme Court to rule in favor of equality for glbts back in May.

Whichever you choose to donate to, please be sure to earmark your donation specifically for the Prop 8 legal challenge.
