K&R'd... I'm 54 and a divorced woman and although I don't think marriage
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=post&forum=389&topic_id=4432260&mesg_id=4432260is the way to go anymore for me ever, I would never deny anyone else's right to be as miserable as I was. :P
What I didn't know until a few days ago, what Prop 8 was all about. I didn't know it was a vote on a Constitutional Amendment and the people in California were actually ALLOWED to vote other people's rights out of existence!! :grr: :wtf:
They tried that here in MA but it didn't fly! How the FUCK can anyone think it's OK to let people VOTE on other people's rights? What if that had happened in '64 when AA's got the vote? Would they have been able to vote, if the voters had been allowed to vote on that? Pretty scary to think about!!
I apologize to anyone whom thought I was daft or ignoring this issue this week. The truth is, I didn't know about it or have a clue that it was a vote ON THE STATE CONSTITUTION!!! Gheeze!!! My computer shit the bed almost 2 months ago and I've already been given one that doesn't work and then got another that is old and pathetic, sort of like McLame. :P I can barely keep it online. Really shitty modem and I've been moving all week, including election night; so I was out of the loop to the extreme! I'm still trying to catch up on everything. So, it is not indifference on my part. It's just not getting any news at all for quite awhile. My heart goes out to all in California and keep taking it to the streets!!! I saw that on the news this morning and I thought it was fucking awesome!!! :woohoo:
 :grouphug:
I'm just trying to say I'm sorry.
