You know how fundies are always calling natural disasters "God's punishment"... |
|
...if they occur in liberal (and especially GLBT-friendly) areas.
I wonder if any of these people are seeing a connection between the passage of Prop H8 and the current plague of wildfires, particularly in L.A. County (which voted for the proposition)? Hmmmm...

1. They probably see the fires as an annual event. |

I'd say the fires were His wrath against the haters who voted FOR prop 8.
But I don't.

3. God likes to be on the side that's winning.... people who are prone |

to natural disasters are usually losing... no matter who they are. It's so funny that when a small "miracle" occurs during a major disaster.... the mantra is, "Gawd was with us"... nevermind the Gawd who is so say in control of the weather, earthquakes, hurricanes, and depleted uranium.

I'm not in danger at the moment, but it's difficult to breathe outside, and ash covers everything. Hundreds of homes are gone and it looks like hundreds more will go.
Thank you for your concern, asshole.

god has nothing to do with it.
God does not pick sides.
Best wishes, and hope you and yours stay safe.

We will likely be "watering our roof" tonight, and turning on the sprinkler system because the fires are in the canyons nearby. Right now the fires are about 10 miles away, but with these winds and no way to contain them, I am pretty sure we will be on voluntary evacuation. Pardon me for not laughing.
ETA: Our air quality which is pretty much usually teh suck to begin with, has gone way down hill, my daughter and I both have asthma and will likely have to wear masks everywhere we go for the next two weeks.
But thanks for the levity anyway.

I know the point you're trying to make, but the post is still in poor taste IMO.
People's homes are being destroyed as we speak. :(
