A group I go to,is going to start up a GBLT support group for those with mental illnes/psych injury /disabilities in Harford County.
It's part of a psych survivor run support,called "spin",it is another "branch" of On Our Own.

I was once with Hearts and Ears,liked what was done there,So I am going to kinda model it from H&E because I think they do a damn good job helping people..Besides I got most of my experince doing this kinda thing there.

So, Spin wants me to get this thing going pretty soon..I 'm still trying to pick a name for it.I want to include the spin idea since it will kinda be an offshoot from Spin.Damn it's hard to think up a name Anyway..
I was thinking of.... Spiral of Rainbows ? Or the Prismatic Vortex?
or The Varigation Revolution? I dunno, everything I come up with sounds cheesy or overdone.

Any Ideas Y'all....I be Stumped.

I'll let you know how things go. Later this month I'm gonna be there with Spin at a health fair ,Busting ass on the table display thingy.It will take awhile to get the word out.Already a transwoman I know is interested,a lesbian and quite possibly another guy.
And I haven't even ADVERTIZED it yet.So apparently, there is a need for this, maybe more than I thought there was..out here.

And good on ya for doing this, by the way. I have (pretty bad lately, mostly uncontrolled) anxiety, and finding queer-friendly professionals is hard. (Actually, I'm having trouble finding pretty much anyone who takes me seriously these days *sigh*) I found a good queer friendly counsellor, who treats my concerns as legitimate, but her waiting list is very long. It's definitely a frustrating experience.
