Greetings, Equality Action Now Crew!

You signed up to be involved and help create the change that is upon us, and we are launching our first big push for organization and leadership tonight with a series of online chat sessions.

Each committee on the EqualityActionNOW.org site will have its own private chat room and corresponding meeting time. You can log into each chat room that you are interested in, at the time indicated, to participate in planning and idea sessions. Our goal is to have one or two lead people step up tonight for each category, so that we can communicate effectively with the leader/s of each group, and they will act as your guides on the chats and forums from now on. They will then convene all the other able volunteers for each area of interest, and start planning REAL action items for each group.

This is a grassroots effort -- we encourage you to stay involved, and do what you can to help during this historic time. WE CAN CHANGE THIS. We can mobilize for equality. Each volunteer category's 15-minute planning chat session is listed below.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10
NATIONWIDE: A DAY WITHOUT GAY – “Call in Gay”
On DECEMBER 10th supporters of the LGBTQI community are going on strike for one day to protest the passing of Proposition 8 and the removal of civil rights from the California Constitution of the LGBTQI community.

24 hours without our money, one day with no shopping (I know, I know... this will be HARD). But the good part is that you can “Call in Gay.” Just say “I feel a little queer today, and I won’t be in.”
