If so many people use marijauana... |
|
how do they pass those drug tests. I know of people who have smoked it and they seem to always have a job. If they pass a law to make it legal how will effect employment. Any ideas?

9. I heard that it stays in the system for six months or more... |
|
so if they are users of it wouldn't they have to quit altogether?

11. Up to six weeks, not months. |
|
And it depends somewhat on the person's body type too. The higher the body fat percentage, the longer it takes to clean out.

I've since been informed that that's not right. It would seem that our shcools are lying to us about drugs. Hmm.

It's not like marijuana's difficult to quit.

4. Or they drink one of those expensive nasty-tasting "clean-me-out" drinks |

before they take the drug test.

6. You need to clean up for a month before you know you'll be tested |
|
because THC is fat soluble and tends to stay in the system at minute but detectable levels for about that long.
Personally, I think they need to legalize it. This whole demonization of a natural and reasonably benign herb is sheer insanity.
I knew too many high functioning scientists at MIT who smoked it to buy any of the propaganda.

smoked the night before a test, drank a gallon of special tea, which wasn't that bad, and I passed my test.

...and, frankly, I really DON'T want to discuss some of the things they do to make it appear that they are "producing" the "sample" on-the-spot, as it were. They'd be funny if they weren't so pathetic, but they are an Awful Warning of how far people will go to avoid having to give up getting stoned for a few weeks.

10. Most places pee-test, because it's cheap and fast... |
|
...so that's what most people experience. Other testing may be done in some cases, but I'd guess that ninety-plus percent is pee testing.
speculatively, Bright

and saliva doesn't produce an adequate sample for testing. Hair will produce a history of drug use as long as the hair's been growing. Mine would provide a 3 year picture of my drug use. A man's might provide 6 months. Men can shave their heads, of course.

(give up getting high for a few months) No one has to give up drinking beer for a few months before they get a job.
What I do on my "off" time is none of anyone's business. When they develop a marijuana test that can tell whether I'm high AT THIS MOMENT and not that I got high at some point in the past two months, then I'll be happy to legitimately take a pot test for a job.
We've had a president that admitted to smoking pot and the current one did cocaine. Why the double standards for the rest of us?

|
why would they stop someone from obtaining employment when they may have used pot four or five months before or they may have been in the presence of someone smoking it. This is a stupid law when these senators get drunk all of the time.

14. I remember a great new worker who failed her drug test. |
|
What a shame. We both got hired the same week. She was a really good worker, energetic, efficient, and she really wanted to be there. Compare that to myself, who wasn't thrilled about working there. I just needed any job to get through the month, and I didn't take it seriously at all(I quit after 3 weeks).
I passed my drug test and she didn't. So they let her go and kept me. That was the dumbest hiring decision ever.

17. This country has some of the dumbest laws... |
|
how do they think that they will ever stop this when it can be grown just about anywhere. If they are so against drugs why aren't they burning poppy fields. Someone needs to bring up a bill against alcohol and I would love to see what the republicons would do. Some of them smoke marijuana and no telling what else do they get drug tests. Since they want to discuss abortion, gay marriage and other personal matters this should be brought up also.
