People who used wet combing were four times more likely to rid themselves of head lice than those who used insecticide products, they found.

Head lice have developed resistance to common over the counter products.

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine research is published in the British Medical Journal.

1. Actually, Ive heard mayonaisse works wonders
Cause all the grease prevents the lice eggs from sticking on the hair.

Also, to PREVENT lice, try lots blow drying and chemicals like gel and hairspray--those l'il buggers don't like that stuff at all.

2. The tried and true method.
My mother used to give us "headchecks" with a fine toothed comb on a regular basis. I absolutely hated it, but it was effective prevention.
