1. colloidal silver does have antibiotic properties, so it would likely
retard algae to some degree depending on solution level.
so the question may become does it have beneficial or harmful effects.
Colloidal silver has long been used, and apparently effectively so, externally as an antiseptic
and internally as an antibiotic. It has been recommended for some purposes by MDs that I know.

So the big question is does it have adverse effects for some people. Most antibiotics do. This likely depends mostly on level of
exposure as many have taken colloidal silver internally without adverse effects.

But it is known that some are immune reactive to silver(a small percent) and would have adverse effects (www.melisa.org or etc.)
and silver is a heavy metal and can be toxic depending on level of exposure, and toxic effects depend on susceptability factors
so some would be affected by lower levels than others.

I think its possible that low levels of silver in a pool might be a good idea to consider and research, since other alternatives
such as chlorine are definately known to have adverse effects. But more would need to be known about levels people would absorb
through the skin, etc. and possible adverse effects.

2. Thanks for that link
Ionic silver is incredible, my wife has been sick for a number of years now.
Some of the doctors say M.S. some say small strokes, but nobody really knows, we treat the symptoms as best as we can, but there came a time when it was not good enough.
Research, brought silver aboard when she was dying from pneumonia at the time it was Pseudomonas aeruginosa, after a few treatments of silver through the nebuliser it was gone, then came staph, mersa, and even bacterial pneumonia, enter silver, gone. c-diff no problem.
As for myself, tooth abscesses, and deodorant, best ever.
my brother has been soaking his toes in it for fungus and is seeing positive results, Oh and theres ear infections sinus infections, I could go on and on.
In any event I'm going to set up this swimming pool with silver for obvious reasons, I just wish others would also experiment with it, talk about bird flu and what have you to contend with. Peace
