I think that the most important change we need to make is to take the PROFIT out of healthcare. I want single-payer healthcare (government as the single health insurance company) and that is going to be an excellent option if we require healthcare providers to return to the non-profit status that they were when I was a kid.

an article from Sept. 2007 that said 54% of Americans are in favor of a single-payer system. With the continued rise of health care costs, this number is probably much higher now.
