DISTURBING – Does Splenda Know Something You Don’t Know?
Splenda, the sugar substitute made from dextrose, maltodextrin, and sucralose, is owned by Johnson and Johnson and marketed / distributed by McNeil Nutritionals. A recent review of some of their domain names reveals some disturbing trends.

A word of advice: If you are going to protect your reputation online by buying up negative brand-related domains (which makes good business sense) at least register them under some obscure DBA or something. Don’t use your primary business name, becase it just looks… bad.

Just a few of the domain names owned by Johnson & Johnson, Splenda’s parent company:

splendakills.net
splendapoison.com
thedangersofsplenda.com
thefactsaboutsplenda.com
victimsofsplenda.com
splendasideeffects.com
splendadangers.com
splendadiabetes.com
splendaisnotsafe.com
And hundreds more, according to Daily Domainer.

2. There have been some preliminary studies
on Splenda that indicate overuse can cause problems with the eyes, I believe. But then overuse of anything can cause problems. I have found personally that I dare not use the stuff, because I react to it the same way I do with sugar--I want to eat it and not stop. My MD told me only to use stevia.

10. Same for me
I figured out that I just want to eat more, if I use it. So, I don't use any artifical sweetners. If I want something sweet, I just eat it and be done with it.

7. Yep. They did this preemptively after having a look at what has happened
on the internet with Equal/Nutrasweet. Heck, Splenda probably owns similar sites about their competitors for the purpose of attacking them, lol.

4. interesting
I find that quite interesting and a bit disturbing. My mother is a diabetic and was told by the doctor to use one of these type products. There are others but Splenda is the one I see her most often with. I also find it disturbing that if there is any sense of issues with it why not come on out and say something and be adults about it rather than wait to be outed by lawsuits that will just make the company look guilty.

5. I would imagine that every company that manufactures anything
has a policy of doing this automatically in the internet age, lol. Because there is always SOMEBODY out there with an ax to grind, whether warranted or not.

6. LOL!
This tactic reminds me of the fruitlessness of building a 10' wall. People will just build 11' ladders if they really want over the wall. I trust that committed anti-splenda activists will come up with more names than splenda could ever hope to block.

9. it tastes awful - why would anyone use it anyway?
I avoid Splenda and aspartame like the plague - I think they are both very hazardous to your health. (PS I don't like sorbitol, either.)
