Why is nobody talking about Title XXI of the Social Security Act ? |

Programs such as PeachCare for kids, in my state were created in the 90's because of the growing number of insured children. There is affordable health insurance for minors that aren't eligible for medicade although there are some income requirements.
There are super scary commie things like community health centers and identification cards. In such a red ass state like Georgia, you wouldn't expect a program like this. Yet it's alive and well and has been in place for years.
We could start by increasing the age limit and income limit so that everyone can get care and go to community health centers rather than the E.R.
The conservative psycho talk leads one to believe that such programs would never work meanwhile these programs already exist and do work.

Oregon has a health insurance plan for minors that is extremely reasonable in price. Blue Cross Blue Shield is one provider.
