Exercise between 30m and an hour every evening. Get away from the tv or computer, and get outside. Ride a bike or just run like your life depended on it until you get tired, stop, breathe deeply for a few minutes, and repeat a couple of times. Running up and down a staircase several times is good also.
A neighbor tried this and didn't need his expensive pills and prescription visits any more.

however. That would be more likely to increase sleep onset insomnia. Moderate exercise has been shown to be beneficial for anxiety and depression, the two most common underlying reasons for insomnia, so, yeah, it would help most people at least a bit. 2. Giving up ciggies and coffee would help too-------LOL. |
|
By the way,I love my coffee and cigarettes.
That said, your advice is good advice as long as the exercise is early in the evening---not right before bedtime.

5. I recommended something like this about a week ago and |
|
got reamed a new one. Seems most would rather take the pills. I suggested a long after dinner walk, long like 2 miles or more and briskly. It seems to work for myself and my kids.

6. NOT right before bed.. not an hour before, that is |
|
some sources put an even bigger time margin before bed, aftere exercise.
Also, try tylenol... works one or two nights, then the effect wears off , ineffective
