Search: Da Vinci prostate surgeryat http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/and you'll get the abstracts of the peer-reviewed articles on this. Also note that while prostatectomies are very popular in the US, it's not clear that they improve outcome: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18695132?itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVAbstractGood luck in your search!

my brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer from a biopsy. Because they have the patient choose the treatment, he went to 3 specialists. The first two recommended the "ectomy" the third requested the original slides from the lab so his people could read them before he made a recommendation. His people did not see cancer, they then sent the slides to Johns Hopkins and they did not see cancer either. Those readings were sent to the original lab and they "concurred with Johns Hopkins." My brother then had saturation biopsy (26 locations) and no cancer was found there either.
Please have your slides read by a second pathologist, especially by one of your specialist consultations just to be sure. Best to you.
