He does not have symptoms when his heartbeat is irregular. He was given the option of doing nothing except getting medication to slow down his pulse or switching medication and having another cardio version, which is what he chose. I was in favor of it too but it was his decision to make, not mine.

We figure it is worth a try...

after the second cardio-version, he decided to go the meds route, and has been fine. He just did not want to go through all that, especially since if you go to the clinic and they decide you need to go to the hospital it is by ambulance ONLY and even with health insurance (and ours is good) that is an expensive co-pay.
