Arthritis Advocates Make a Difference
Received from the Arthritis Foundation today via email --

Today, Advocates Really Made a Difference.

The Arthritis Prevention, Control, and Cure Act (H.R. 1210) has
passed the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and we could not have done it without you!

In Committee, the bill's lead sponsor, Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA), and Reps. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Mike Rogers (R-MI) all thanked you, the arthritis advocate. Rep. Eshoo said, "thank you to all of those arthritis advocates who have walked the halls of Congress and contacted their Members of Congress. That's why we have 179 co-sponsors on this legislation. It is a testament to all of their hard work." Rep. Baldwin spoke of a 4 year-old constitutent from Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin "who battles juvenile arthritis each and every day--that's why arthritis deserves national attention." Rep. Rogers spoke about the millions of Americans with arthritiis who are in pain and who will benefit from this legislation which will improve surveillance, education, and research of arthritis.

Thank you for being some of the bravest and most dedicated advocates across the country.

Ask your Member of Congress to schedule a House vote on the Arthritis Act now.
Make Congress enact the Arthritis Act before it's too late!
